The Mercantile is located in Parowan Utah just off the southeast corner of the intersection of S. Main and E. Center Streets, in a recently gentrified area, along the main business corridor of the town.  The Parowan Visitor’s Center is located on the southeast corner of the intersection, just north of and adjacent to the Mercantile building; just east of, and adjacent to the property is a bank building, and adjacent south is a newly constructed townhome.  Across S. Main to the west, occupying the southwest corner of the intersection is the Parowan Public Library, and clockwise to the northwest corner is a beautifully renovated Victorian Inn. Located on the northeast corner is a small park surrounding a gazebo, and along E. Center are a number of small shops and offices. Parowan is a beautiful place to live and work, a place of clean air and four distinct seasons.  The city serves as a gateway to some of the most awe-inspiring scenery located within several of the nation’s most famous National Parks, all within less than a two hour drive; less than 2 hours to the Zion National Park Visitor Center; about 1.5 hours to the Bryce Canyon National Park; about 30 minutes to Cedar City, also known as “Festival City USA”; and less than 20 minutes to the Brian Head Ski Resort. In fact, the highway that leads to Brian Head passes the S. Main Street frontage of the Mercantile.
