Formerly, he was at HFF and joined the firm in 2004 and has more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience. Mr. Weir specializes in the sale, finance and recapitalization of office properties and portfolios in the Washington, DC Metro. Since 2004, he has successfully executed more than 50 sale and recapitalization transactions representing in excess of $10 billion. Mr. Weir has been involved in some of the region’s most significant transactions, including the disposition of the Washington portfolios of CarrAmerica and Equity Office Properties on behalf of the Blackstone Group. Additionally, he oversees the financial analysis and market research support staff for all of the group's transactions. Prior to joining HFF, Mr. Weir was a Vice President with CarrAmerica Realty Corporation.

After starting at HFF in 2007, Jim and the DC investment advisory team completed more than 275 transactions. Prior to HFF, he was an executive director in the Investment Services Group at GVA Advantis. Before that, he was a partner with Morris McNair & Associates, Inc., a boutique brokerage firm specializing in investment sales and tenant advisory services. Prior to that, he was the director of acquisitions for six years with Realty Investment Company, Inc.
David Baker, Senior Director
David started at HFF as an Analyst in November 2012. Before that, he worked at McKee & Schalka Real Estate Appraisers & Consultants in Seattle, Washington, where he valued office, industrial, retail and multi-housing properties throughout the Puget Sound. Throughout the course of his career, David has participated in sale and recapitalization transactions representing more than $3.8 billion.
Kevin Byrd, Director, Capital Markets

Kevin started at HFF as an analyst in 2016. Prior to that, he worked as a financial analyst for the Multifamily CFO at Fannie Mae. While at Fannie Mae, he was responsible for conducting analyses on the profitability and credit risk of loans and securities backed by multifamily real estate assets, including apartment buildings, seniors housing facilities, affordable housing, and student housing developments.
