The island city of Portsmouth is located on the south coast of England, approximately 75 miles south west of London, 25 miles east of Southampton and has a permanent population of over 200,000. Southsea is a suburb of Portsmouth located to the south of the city centre and to the east of Old Portsmouth overlooking the Solent and Isle of Wight. Southsea benefits from direct motorway access via the M275, which links to Junction 12 of the M27. In addition, the A3 connects Portsmouth with the M25 and Central London.
