Clymer (Population: 1,656) is situated 30 miles southeast of Erie, PA and is located in the western part of New York in Chautauqua County. Clymer is a historic Dutch Village richly rooted in history, as it became a popular destination for Dutch emigrants who arrived in New York City in the nineteenth century. The city is named after George Clymer, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Today, Clymer is predominantly a farming community, which also boasts vibrant small businesses and a variety of activities for young and old. The city offers many attractions such as world class snowmobiling, downhill skiing, recreational watersports and various events and festivals.
