The City of Bristol is accepting submissions from developers and associated parties toward the sale and development of an approximately 15-acre remediated Brownfield Property in the form of “raw land” located at 894 Middle Street.
Description
The property at 894 Middle Street is a visible, high-profile location enjoying the highest traffic counts in the City of Bristol, with convenient access to Interstate I-84 and CT Route 72. The property is located in the center of Connecticut, nearly equidistant to New York City and Boston. Traveling by vehicle to Hartford, CT is a 25-minute ride, while New Haven, CT is just 40 minutes south. The property is near several high-profile sites, including ESPN headquarters across the street, five hotels within 2.5 miles or less, Lake Compounce amusement park directly adjacent to the rear of the site, two industrial parks housing more than 30 businesses, and the area’s preeminent conference center: the Bristol Event Center. The City of Bristol acquired the site several years ago before completing necessary environmental assessment and remediation activities with assistance from the State of Connecticut, U.S. EPA, and Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments.
