Lucas Lugo, Managing Director
Lugo joined Newmark after working for the California Department of General Services since 2007. As a Real Estate Leasing Officer in the Southern California and Sacramento regions, he completed some of the area’s most significant transactions for the State of California. He oversaw every phase of State of California leasing: identifying client needs and available space; lease negotiations; composing lease documents; and educating Lessors on State of California requirements and processes. He received the prestigious “Director’s Award” for excellent performance, and has successfully completed more than 2.0 million square feet of internal transactions throughout the State of California.
Lugo is now utilizing his internal State of California leasing experience to provide State of California lessors with a higher level of understanding to obtain new State of California tenancy, renew existing tenants and successfully navigate the State of California’s build-to-suit process. Lugo helps State of California lessors understand the State of California’s motivations and requirements that differ between a field office, back office or headquarter facility, which is critical in properly setting lessor expectations and successfully consummating a deal.
A few of Lugo’s most recent State Landlord clients include Buzz Oates, Basin Street, Magnon Companies, and Evergreen Company. Prior to separating from the State of California, his clients included California’s Department of Child Support Services, Department of Motor Vehicles, Employment Development Department, Department of Justice and Department of Consumer Affairs; the California Board of Equalization; the California Student Aid Commission; and the California Prison Industry Authority.
Michael Riley, Senior Managing Director

Christopher Lemmon, Executive Managing Director, Market Leader
Lemmon began his real estate career as an intern with CBRE’s Private Client Investment Group in San Diego. Upon his return to Sacramento post-graduation, he joined Newmark’s Sacramento office before transferring to the Roseville office in 2006, where he has been consistently recognized as a top producer. Lemmon become the regional manager in 2018.
One of the most active brokers the Sacramento region, Lemmon was named Young Professional of the Year by the Roseville Chamber of Commerce in 2014. Other professional accolades include The Newmark Network Award and being named as one of Sacramento Magazines Top 300 Most Influential Business leaders in 2019. Lemmon is a member of the Association of Commercial Real Estate (ACRE), the Sutter Club, serving on the Credentials Committee, and previous member of the Jesuit High School Alumni Council. He is also a past active member of the Active 20-30 Sacramento No. 1 Club and previously served as vice president of the Board of the California Automobile Museum.
