About the Property
The City of Norfolk, Norfolk Redevelopment & Housing Authority and Brinshore Development are introducing a public/private partnership of the revitalization of Kindred with a mixed-use, mixed income community. The redevelopment plans will include five separate phases of residential and retail with a completion date of 2025. Demolition is under way, along with infrastructive work. Construction of the proposed 714 on-site units will commence this year. This residential community will feature tree-lined streets with pedestrian-friendly walkways in an urban setting surrounded by the amenities of Downtown Norfolk. The project will straddle St. Paul's Boulevard between E Brambleton Ave and Market St and will include the historic Church St. This revitalization project is situated beside Norfolk's Downtown District, centrally located off of I-264. Residents will have ready access to the many amenities of the submarket, including Scope, Chrysler Hall, Harbor Park, Granby Street Shops, MacAurthur Mall, Norfolk's Light Rail, Waterside District, Town Point Park and many others.
