About Waterfront/North Beach
History meets contemporary along San Francisco’s Waterfront and North Beach Area. Buildings originally developed in the early 19th century have been retrofitted into creative office spaces popular with tenants in a wide variety of industries. The area houses the sprawling brick headquarters of Levi Strauss & Co. and offices for Williams-Sonoma. Levi’s Plaza, fronting today’s Embarcadero, was developed on the site of an old wharf.

The open Waterfront and North Beach neighborhood offers an alternative feel to the dense and traffic-choked environment downtown. Scott Harper, Senior Vice President
During his career, which began in 1990 in San Francisco, he has leased, renewed, or sold approximately 12.2 million total square feet of office space in the city. Although he primarily represents Landlords, he has also participated in $1.5 billion in investment sales transactions. Scott currently represents over 1.6 million square feet of office space with notable clients including Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (formerly RREEF), American Assets Trust, Prudential Investments, Principal Global Investors, GE Real Estate, Ellis Partners, Harsch Investment Properties, and Yale Properties. In 2007, Scott was appointed to start and lead the company’s West Coast Urban Landlord Partners Practice Group. This is a specialized group of collaborative Downtown Landlord Leasing teams in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and Phoenix. Also, in 2009, Scott was asked by the company to serve on the ten member Board of Directors of Colliers International USA. Appointed the Managing Director in 2002, Scott managed the Leasing and Investment Sales operations of the San Francisco office until January 2007. During his five-year tenure as Manager of the office, revenues increased 77%.
Brian McCarthy, Senior Vice President
Brian spent the first 15 years of his career at Colliers International where he was consistently one of the top producers in the San Francisco office. During his time at Colliers International, he was involved in over 600 transactions totaling more than seven million square feet.
Michael McCarthy, Executive Managing Partner
Mike joined Transwestern in November 2019 after a distinguished 33-year career at the San Francisco office of Colliers International. Mike was consistently a member of the Colliers Everest Club, a designation reserved for the top 10% of producers of the company. Some of Mike’s more significant lease transactions include: Adobe’s 310,584 square feet at 100 Hooper Street for Kilroy Realty Corporation, Google’s 253,198 square feet at The Landmark – One Market for American Assets Trust and Splunk’s 182,284 square feet at 270 Brannan Street for SKS Investments / Mitsui.
Madeline Meyersieck, Vice President
Maddie began her real estate career in 2013 at Harvest Properties, where she served on the property management team, prior to joining Colliers as a leasing broker for the SOMA market.
