Active in the industry since 2000, Jim has been involved in hundreds of transactions representing both owners and users of commercial real estate with an aggregate value in excess of $500 Million. Jim has successfully represented small business owners, as well as major corporations, both locally and nationally. Jim holds both the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) designations, which are two of the most prominent designations available for commercial real estate practitioners. As an active broker in the St. Louis office market, Jim is consistently recognized as an industry leader.
Prior to joining Gershman Commercial Real Estate in 2019 as an Executive Vice President, Jim was with Gateway Commercial (Cushman & Wakefield Alliance firm) and Colliers International. In 2015, Colliers International acquired Gateway Commercial, and Jim was with the combined firms for over 12 years in an office brokerage capacity.
Jim served on the Board of Directors for the St. Louis CCIM Chapter from 2012-2021, acting as the peer-nominated Chapter President in 2020 guiding the organization through a period challenged by the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Jim joined the St. Louis SIOR Chapter Executive Committee, and will serve as President in 2024.
Jim lives in Des Peres with his wife and two children and is involved in their many extra curricular activities.
