John has navigated his clients through a wide variety of office related transactions including new lease renewals and restructures; renegotiations; and the sale or acquisition of commercial land and office buildings. Over the last four years, John has brokered the development of new buildings for use and occupancy by his clients. This includes the North American headquarters for Zurich North American Insurance Company (748,000 square feet), Navistar World headquarters (1,200,000 square feet), and Universal Technical Institute (180,000 square feet). As Team Leader, John manages strategic planning, site selection, architect and developer selection, capital structure, state and municipal incentives, internal/external communications, legal terms, and document review and execution.
In 2013, John led the team that was awarded the Greater Chicago Food Depository Office Broker Team of the Year. He has been nominated Office Broker of the Year in Chicago eight times. John has also received recognition for creative and innovative transactions included Chicago's Innovative Deal of the Year Award for 2010. John is consistently recognized by JLL as a top producer, including achieving "Top Gun" status for being in the top 5% nationally for five of the last seven years.
