Paul D. Davis is the founder of Affordable Housing Advisors (AHA) of Marcus & Millichap, the nation’s leading full-service brokerage firm representing sellers and buyers of government-subsidized, multifamily properties. Paul began his real estate career with a boutique brokerage company focused on the sale of market-rate apartments. Upon the enactment of the Tax Reform Act of 1986 and Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code, Paul identified an opportunity within the affordable housing sector and shifted his focus to the brokerage of Project-Based Section 8 properties. Paul founded Affordable Housing Advisors in 1987 and pioneered the brokerage of affordable housing.
In 1998, Paul moved AHA to Marcus & Millichap. Presently, Paul’s team has achieved sales of more than 250,000+ affordable housing units throughout the United States, valued in excess of $15+ Billion. He is a member of the Michigan Bar, the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC), the Housing Advisory Group (HAG), National Leased Housing Association (NLHA), the Institute for Responsible Housing Preservation (IRHP), the National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) and the National Housing and Rehabilitation Association (NH&RA).
