Bio
Simon Higgins is Partner in charge of the industrial, agency, investment & development team and has over 23 years experience across all aspects of the commercial property sector specialising in industrial land and buildings with a particular focus on the South East, M25 and London Boroughs. Simon's expertise in development and investment has led to his involvement in a number of significant strategic land holdings across London and stretching out along the Thames corridor. Significantly, Simon advised Ballymore Properties on the 20 acre land assembly in Nine Elms Battersea and the restructuring of occupational leases to facilitate the disposal of the 5 acre site for the new US Embassy. Simon provides industrial, investment & development advice for a range of property companies and institutional clients which has led to the acquisition of a portfolio of six industrial estates across London and the South East for the Rugby Estates REIT, the disposal of an 8.28 acre site (117,800 sq ft warehousing) at Kierbeck Wharf, Barking, and the disposal of a mixed use development site at Heath Road Twickenham on behalf of Telereal Trillium. Simon is also actively involved in the London and South-East industrial leasing market, advising owners and occupiers on their disposals and acquisition programme. Specialist areas of expertise where Simon has had significant involvement also include the data centre market where he is currently providing development and acquisition advice for a data park at Greenwich View Place London E14 and the hotel sector where he has recently disposed of the Ibis London City 348 bed hotel for Mangrove Securities Ltd to Axa Real Estate. Outside of work, Simon is a keen sportsman whether this is playing tennis, rugby coaching for his son's U11 team or watching Fulham FC, DE&J Levy's official team as season ticket holders.
